Pasukan bolasepak wanita Iran yang diharamkan FIFA

AMMAN-Media massa Barat menonjolkan bagaimana air mata dan sujud para pemain bola sepak wanita Iran yang tidak bersedia mengorbankan kemuliaan mereka sebagai Muslimah ketika mengikuti pertandingan pemilihan Olimpik 2012 yang bakal diadakan di London. Pihak pengurusan Bahrain Berjaya membantah dan menggagalkan pertandingan team bolasepak wanita Iran ketika perlawanan dengan team Jordan pada Jumat 3 Jun di Amman baru-baru ini dengan alas an team dari Iran mengenakan pakaian Islam dan berjilbab.

Setelah keputusan berat sebelah itu, para pemain Team Iran bersama-sama menyanyikan lagu kebangsaan Iran, kemudian berlari menelilingi padang sambil mengibarkan bendera Iran. Setelah itu mereka bersujud di atas bendera Iran dan meninggalkan padang dengan mata berkaca-kaca.

Keputusan pihak pengurusan Bahrain itu sangat mengecewakan apabila kedua team sudah siap masuk di padang untuk memulakan pertandingan. Namun sikap team Iran membuat para pemain Team Jordan dan juga para penonton terharu. Mereka memberi sokongan dengan bertepuk tangan mengiringi para pemain Iran ketika keluar padang.
Peristiwa tersebut mendapat sorotan meluas dari media massa Barat termasuk BBC, New York Times, Xinhua, dan bahkan Times of India. Dalam berbagai laporan disebutkan, “Team bola sepak wanita Iran dilarang mengikuti pertandingan pemilihan Olimpik 2012 London kerana memakai pakaian Islam.”“Berdasarkan ketetapan FIFA, dilarang menutupi leher dan telinga ketika bertanding, namun Persatuan Bola sepak Kebangsaan Iran menyatakan bahwa pihaknya telah mendapat persetujuan dari FIFA dua tahun lalu bahwa Team Wanita Iran itu dapat bermain dengan tetap mengenakan jilbab.” Team bolasepak wanita Iran berada dalam ranking terbaru FIFA naik dua tangga dikedudukan 51 dunia.

Setelah pembatalan tersebut, team tersebut segera meninggalkan Amman menuju Teheran. Team Iran itu menduduki tangga pertama dan telah bersedia untuk memasuki babak kedua. Ketua Persatuan Kebangsaan Bolasepak Iran, Ali Kaffashian, menyatakan sangat sedih dengan peristiwa tersebut dan menyatakan, pihaknya akan merujuk hal tersebut kepada FIFA. Kaffashian menegaskan bahwa Iran sebelumnya telah mendapat persetujuan dari ketua FIFA agar para pemainwanita Iran dapat tampil dengan mengenakanpenutup kepala khas untuk menjaga nilai-nilai Islam…
